A Little Bit about Political Correctness
"The avoidance, often considered as taken to extremes, of forms of expression or action that are perceived to exclude, marginalize, or insult groups of people who are socially disadvantaged or discriminated against."

I always thought that political correctness was ridiculous. Why?
The idea that everyone has to accept other peoples beliefs is what got to me.
Not because we shouldn't accept people but because we should be forced into an the idea of other peoples life styles. We should be forced to accept their beliefs. And we can't say anything that offends them.
Yes, we shouldn't be offensive. I agree. However, how are going to not offend someone by saying "I don't support black lives matter.""I don't support homosexual marriages." ... and so on.
The thing is, today people are split up into parties and religions.
Democrats, you call Republicans: Fools, Extortionists, Squealing Political Pigs!
Republicans, you call Democrats: Snowflakes, Wingnut, Idiots!
Right here you can already see a division of parties.
And this, my millennial friends, is the beginning of why political correctness cannot and will not become a thing.
Ben Nelson has said "The primary purpose of a university isn’t to prepare students for a career. It’s to prepare them for life."
Yes, along with college you must prepare your students for the ways of life. However, has anyone noticed that MOST universities are preparing millennials for a liberal life style? This is a one way life style.
They focus more on where your political views "should" be rather than the real world.
Political Correctness says you cannot be offensive.
My dear millennials, it is hard to not offend you.
We are the Millennials, we are the future. We are weak.
We are offended by people who do not support our own beliefs. "I don't support homosexual marriages" "You are a bigot"
I am sure you are familiar with the term Bigot. A person who is intolerant toward those holding different opinions.
I find interesting that the definition says someone who is INTOLERANT. Now because someone doesn't support you, you rightfully have the place to name call and then later say we need to be politically correct.
I do apologize but apart of being politically correct is not to offend people. Calling one a bigot is not considered offensive at this point because they don't support you?
Do you not see the hypocrisy in this?
Listen Millennials, I understand you want to be accepted. No matter what group you're in. It's hard to walk alone. Do not let other people offend you by simply having different opinions. That is the down fall of a nation. We are split into so many different categories, beliefs, political views, that we are dividing from each other, making a political correctness even harder to reach.
Long story short, political correctness will not and cannot be met because people will always have different opinions, religious views, and life style. Does it make them bad? Certainly not.
Someone who is homosexual to me is no different than someone who holds a faith or religion. Why is that? Because we are all people. We all fall short, We all have the same emotions, we all have a life to live. Yes, different life styles. But we are all at the end of the day loved by someone.
Don't focus on being something we cannot reach because of a division in any nation. Focus on how you can make each day better by doing something nice for another. That's the best thing you can do.
